In Norway, the Legemiddelloven (Medicines Act) §13–5 prohibits marketing prescription medicines, such as Botox®, to the general public. Because this treatment uses a prescription-only product, we describe it by its purpose—relieving chronic headaches and migraines—and can discuss the exact product during a private consultation.
The number of injections depends on your symptoms and headache pattern. Most people receive small injections in the jaw, forehead, the area between the eyebrows (frown lines), and temples. In some cases, injections may also be placed in the scalp, neck, or shoulders, but this is less common. Your provider will tailor the approach to help relieve your headaches or migraines.
While results can vary, most of our patients experience a dramatic improvement — with migraines becoming far less frequent, less intense, or in many cases almost completely gone.
Many patients notice improvement within the first few days after treatment, with further reduction in migraine frequency and severity developing over the next 2–4 weeks.
