Laser for Tattoo Removal

Picosecond Laser – Tattoo Removal
Say goodbye to tattoos you no longer want – safely and effectively with advanced picosecond laser technology

Purpose :

To break down tattoo ink with ultra-short laser pulses for safe, effective removal. Suitable for most skin types and a wide range of ink colours when proper settings are used, minimising the risk of scarring or pigment change.

How it works :

The picosecond laser delivers energy in trillionths of a second, shattering ink particles into tiny fragments that the body clears naturally. Compared with older Q-switched lasers, picosecond tech reduces heat spread and can speed clearance. Topical anaesthetic is applied for comfort.

Results :

Fading begins after the first few sessions, with the most noticeable changes typically between sessions 3–6. Black ink responds fastest; coloured inks (especially green, blue, and red) may require more sessions. Complete removal is not always possible, but significant lightening is common.

Duration :

Most tattoos require 4–10 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Some pieces may not clear fully but can be lightened for easier cover-up.

Price :

From 2900 kr depending on size and colour density (see full price list).

Time :

15–45 minutes per session

FAQ

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Every tattoo and every skin type is different. A consultation is always required before treatment to assess your skin, tattoo colour, and medical history. This ensures safety and best results.

How many treatments will I need?

Most tattoos need 4–10 sessions depending on age, size, colour, depth, and skin type. Black ink fades fastest, while green, red, and blue can take longer.

Will my tattoo disappear completely?

Many tattoos fade dramatically or vanish, but complete clearance cannot always be guaranteed. Some colours are more resistant, and in rare cases faint outlines remain.

Is tattoo removal painful?

Discomfort is common but manageable. The laser feels like quick snaps of an elastic band. We apply numbing cream beforehand to make treatment easier.

Is it safe for all skin types?

Yes, with correct settings. Darker skin requires extra caution to avoid pigment changes, which is why consultation and an experienced operator are essential.

What should I avoid before and after treatment?

Avoid sun exposure, solarium, and self-tanning for at least 4 weeks before treatment and 2–4 weeks after. Sunburned or recently tanned skin increases the risk of burns and pigmentation changes. Avoid self-tanners and strong skincare acids on the area before treatment. Afterward, keep the area clean, protected from sun, and moisturised. Small scabs or temporary pigment changes are normal. Follow all aftercare instructions to reduce risks.
