Infrared LED Light Therapy

Infrared LED Light Therapy – Skin Health & Recovery
Support skin repair, reduce inflammation, and boost collagen with non-invasive light therapy

FAQ

Is it painful?

No. LED light therapy is completely painless and our patients find it relaxing.

How many sessions do I need?

A course of 6–8 weekly sessions is often recommended for best results. After that, maintenance sessions can be done as desired to support long-term skin quality.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Yes. It works especially well after microneedling, PRP, or chemical peels to calm the skin, speed healing, and enhance results.

When will I see results?

Most patients notice calmer, healthier-looking skin after a few sessions. Improvements in skin texture and tone develop gradually with consistent treatments.

Are there any side effects?

No. LED light therapy is safe, non-invasive, and has no downtime. Temporary mild warmth or redness may occur, but this resolves quickly. At ProDerma clinics in Lillestrøm (near Oslo) and Tromsø, LED light therapy is provided with a focus on safety, skin health, and lasting results.

Can LED light therapy cause sunburn, or can it be used if I’m already sunburned?

No. LED light therapy does not use UV light and cannot cause sunburn. Instead, it uses red and near-infrared light that supports skin repair and reduces inflammation. The treatment can even be beneficial if you are already sunburned, as it may help the skin heal faster.
