What is DesoBody and how does it work?
DesoBody contains deoxycholic acid, a molecule that dissolves fat cells permanently. Deoxycholic acid is produced naturally in your body and helps with the digestion of fats. First when DesoBody comes into contact with adipose tissue, the fat cells are destroyed by the damage caused to the cell membrane. The now liquified fat and the destroyed fat cells are then broken down and removed naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.
How does DesoBody differ from the older fat solvents on the market?
DesoBody is the newest body fat-dissolving injection formula on the market to date. Deoxycholic acid is a natural molecule found in nature and is FDA and EMA approved (and hence approved in Norway). Studies have shown DesoBody elicits safer, more effective and more comfortable fat reduction than other older fat dissolvers on the market.
Am I a candidate for fat-dissolving injections?
The vast majority between 18-80 are good candidates for treatment with DesoBody. This treatment is ideal for patients with moderate body weight or who are a little overweight with stubborn, localized fat deposits, which seem resistant to diet and physical activity.
People who have an infection in the treatment area must wait until the infection is gone. Unfortunately, although extremely rare, people with hypersensitivity to deoxycholic acid cannot be treated.
What areas can be treated?

What’s involved in a treatment with DesoBody?
Treatment involves administering small injections into several sites in the subcutaneous fat of the desired treatment area. Within a few weeks, you will notice the skin in the treatment area tightening profile will appear slimmer. How many injections you need depends on the amount of fat in the area. The treatment itself takes between 20-30 minutes and involves no surgery whatsoever.
To achieve the desired result, several treatments may be required; the number depending on the amount of fat to be removed. The fat reduction is completely permanent and a typical treatment regimen is 1-3 times at 4-6-week intervals.
What results can I expect?
Most people who undergo treatment with DesoBody experience a visible improvement in the profile after 8 weeks, but from experience anywhere from two to four treatments are required for a noticeable result. For some, up to six treatments are required to achieve optimal results.
The time interval between each treatment should always be at least 4 weeks. Once the desired result is achieved, no further treatment is usually required.
Is it safe? What happens after the treatment? Side effects?
Yes, DesoBody fat-dissolving injections are safe when administered by a trained aesthetic doctor.
This treatment has minimal side effects with little or no disruption to the patient’s daily activities.
Although the side effects are minimal, they may include: redness, local swelling, bruising, tenderness and tenderness in the treated area. However, all effects are normal and you should be able to continue with your day to day and physical activities after treatment.
